Melon Fashion Group, one of the leading companies in the Russian fashion retail operating four brands: ZARINA, Befree, LOVE REPUBLIC and sela, has signed the national Inclusive Treaty (NIT), committing itself to develop inclusive environment both inside the company, and in brand communications as well as in their trade spaces.
To minimize inequality and create a peaceful inclusive society is the aim Melon Fashion Group and its brands strive for in the field of sustainability. In 2022, the company presented the ESG strategy, where one of the main priorities is care about people all around and its amployees in particular.
Within the framework of NIT, Melon Fashion Group will:
• continue to improve and scale the program of assisted employment so that as many as possible young people with disability and low starting possibilities in all regions of Russia could get their first job experience, find vocation and earn their living;
• tell ZARINA, Befree, LOVE REPUBLIC and sela customers about the importance of development and maintenance of the inclusive environment via their social networks, campaigns and special projects;
• continue implementing inclusive principles and create stores comfortable for all categories of people, as well as comfortable and affordable collections of clothes with a broad size range;
• develop the culture of corporate social responsibility among employees of Melon Fashion Group and initiate socially important projects.
NIT is a key element of the Open for Everyone all-Russian project carried out by the Agency of Strategic Initiatives targeting at better accessibility of goods and services for people with disability. By the end of 2022, more than 70 companies had joined this treaty.
