Winter can be harsh on a skirt-wearing lady. But basic pantyhose can be harsher.

Rows of hose at department and lingerie stores are no longer basic
black and nude. Instead, slip on a pair of tights with a personality.
Meredith Sloane and her sister Brooke are the creators of Melonets-
-fishnets
with a funky elastic band. They can be dressed up or down--and
they move up
and down and do not need a garter belt. "
They can be worn above the knee,
below the knee, under a short or long skirt,
as lingerie, or underneath pants,"
Sloane says.
Melonets come in five styles and can be purchased for about $28 a pair
at www.melonfashion.com.
